Las Vegas Academy of Skating | Dress Code

None of the following are acceptable attire for skate school or freestyle:

  • Jeans, capri’s, shorts, crop tops, or hats of any kind
  • Jewelry
  • Gum chewing

Hair:
Long hair must be neatly tied back. Hair that is too short must be pulled back with a barrette. Hair needs to be out of the skater’s face for safety.

Snowplow Sam and Basic 1-3:
Dress warm, sweat pants/warm up pants. Sweater or warm up jackets. Gloves/mittens are mandatory for all skaters. Young children may wear a warm winter hat. Helmets must be worn by all children 3 years of age and under for safety concerns. Laces need to be tucked into the child’s skates.

Basic 4 thru Freeskate 6:
Proper skating attire is mandatory. Skating pants or skating dress for girls, skating pants and a warm shirt for boys. Gloves are mandatory for all skaters. Laces need to be tucked into the skates.

Adults:
Warm up pants and jacket or sweat suit. Long hair needs to be neatly tied back. Hair that is too short needs to be pulled back with a barrette. Gloves are highly suggested for class. Please tuck in skate laces.
